Dr Nidhi Raisinghani is Head of Department of European Languages, Literature and Culture Studies at University of Rajasthan. She teaches French and specializes in Translation & Interpretation Studies. She has done several interpretation assignments for UNESCO and for other International delegations. She has written doctoral thesis on “ Teaching & Learning of French in Rajasthan” and is the first female candidate to clear NET exam in French in Rajasthan. She is recipient of many fellowships by the Embassy of France for doing research in Foreign Language Teaching Methodology in Universities in France. She organises on regular basis International Student Exchange Programmes in France. In 2022, she was awarded “Excellence Award” by the Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan for promotion of foreign languages. At the department, she organised and moderated several literary sessions with distinguished French authors like Jean Claude Perrier, Louis Philippe Dalembert, Patricia Loison, Ananda Devi, Laura Nsafou. Recently, she moderated and interpreted a literary session with Annie Ernaux, Nobel laureate in Literature 2022 and French author. She has an experience of more than 18 years and has several publications to her credit.
